"Tend My Sheep" is a volunteer effort of our congregation to show love to our neighbors. Or, as Romans 12:15 says, to "mourn with those who mourn." The name of the program comes from Jesus' directive to take care of his sheep (John 21:16). We want to help those who have recently experienced the death of someone close to them by providing a meal for them. (Meals are professionally prepared by Gordon Food Service.)
Our local funeral homes are giving out this information to those who have lost a loved one.
If you have recently experienced a death in your family or know someone who does, please call us (608) 349-6776 and one of our volunteers will bring you a meal to help in your time of grieving.
In order to show Christ's love, we want to provide fresh produce for our community. The youth of St. Paul's have planted a garden and will be giving out the fruits of their labor free of charge this summer. On Saturdays, there will be a stand on Broadway St. from 10am-12pm to hand out what is available.
If you are in need, please call the church at (608) 349-6776 and we would be happy to supply you with as much as you would like! We offer beans, corn, lettuce, sweet peppers, cucumbers, squash, zucchini, tomatoes, and broccoli.
Behind the church garden we also have a pumpkin patch growing. We are looking forward to providing pumpkins for families in our area for free again this fall! Watch for more information as October approaches.
